We currently have three options for Alaska residents and former Alaska residents to obtain a copy of their driving record. You may request the record by mail, fax or by going to any DMV and showing proper identification.  You may only obtain your personal record, unless you have a signed release to obtain a record for another person.  Parents may obtain records for their minor children.

MAIL:

In order to obtain your driving record by mail, please include the following in your request:

• Legal name (printed)
• Alaska drivers license number OR Date of birth
• Purpose for record (employment purposes, insurance, "clearance letter" or other)
• Personalized check or money order
• Telephone Number
• Signature
• Mail to:

FAX:

You must have either a MasterCard or VISA in order to request your driving record by fax. You would complete a request and fax it to our Juneau Driver Licensing Office.  They will normally mail it to you within five days of receiving the request or will fax it if you provide a fax number.  If you do not receive the record within 5 days, please call 1-907-465-4363.
